Foldable phones are slowly gaining ground in the smartphone market. Many premium brands were encouraged to launch their own versions of folding products, but with prices exceeding 1.000 euros. For a time it seemed that economic alternatives would never appear, but that would remain in the past with the imminent arrival of the Nubia Flip 5G from the ZTE company, the cheapest foldable in the world.

Design and power of the Nubia Flip 5G
The Nubia Flip 5G adopts the clamshell format, with a hinge that allows folding without wrinkles or cracks. Inside, it sports a 6,9-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Externally, it has a 1,43-inch circular AMOLED display to view basic information such as time, calendar, and notifications.
Underneath its entire casing, we find the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, a mid-range chip that offers solid performance without compromising energy efficiency. It is accompanied by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, enough to run demanding applications and store multimedia content. Regarding the cameras, the 50MP main sensor and a 16MP selfie camera integrated into the internal screen, capable of capturing sharp and detailed images.
The Nubia Flip 5G incorporates a 4.310mAh battery with 33W fast charging, which gives it solid autonomy and quick recharging when necessary. Regarding connectivity, it has 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and USB-C port.
Confirmed date for international release
Nubia has confirmed that the Flip 5G will arrive on the international market in April 2024 and, according to the company, it is the "Best Flip for Everyone." This foldable smartphone will be launched with the same name and with the intention of bringing competition to the foldable device segment.
Specifically, Nubia has set the global launch of the Flip 5G for April 9 at 13:00 CET, and users will have the opportunity to win a free unit by signing up for the brand's mailing list.
Availability and price in Spain
The Nubia Flip 5G It will be available in Spain before the summer of 2024, through the official ZTE website, with a introductory price of 599 euros. It will be the cheapest option among the folding ones that are for sale in the Spanish market.
