El Google Assistant (Google Assistant) was launched in the year 2016 with the best of intentions. It should serve to guide the user and help him get the most out of the browser and all its possibilities. However, many users consider them unnecessary. Even annoying. This virtual assistant was developed with Artificial intelligence by Google, specifically designed to work on smartphones. After an initial period, it started to work as a stand-alone app on the iOS operating system in 2017, allowing users around the world to interact with it through voice commands (but also via keyboard).

Disable Google Assistant step by step
If, despite all the advantages that the assistant offers to Google users, you are determined to deactivate it, these are the steps you must follow:
- First of all, we have to enter the menu of «Settings» off the phone and go to "Google Assistant". *
- In that settings screen we go to the section "General" and disable the Google Assistant option.
- Next, a window will appear in which we will be asked confirmation to disable the wizard. After confirming the action, it will be completely deactivated.

Although it is not actually possible to remove Google Assistant from a Chromebook, there is instead the possibility of disabling it. The steps to achieve this are very simple:
First you have to click on the clock that appears at the bottom right of the screen. Clicking on it will open the options menu.
- Then click on the icon "Settings".
- Within the new menu that is displayed, we select the option "Search Assistant". There you can see if Google Assistant is enabled or not.
- To disable it, all you have to do is flip the switch to close it.
