Creating a photo collage on your iPhone doesn't require any external apps, thanks to the versatile Shortcuts app that comes pre-installed on iOS. How to create a photo collage on iPhone
To start creating a photo collage on iPhone, Open the Shortcuts app. This app, which comes pre-installed on your device, allows you to automate tasks and create custom shortcuts to make using your phone easier. If you can't find it, you can search for it in the App Store and download it.
Within the Shortcuts app, tap the + sign located in the upper right corner to create a new shortcut. This option will allow you to start the process of creating your photo collage.
In the new shortcut, you will need to add an action. To do this, select the Add an action option and use the search bar to find the action Select Photos. When choosing this option, you must also activate the Select Multiple option to be able to choose more than one image for your collage.
After selecting the photos, tap Add Action again. This time, look for the option Combined images and select it. This feature will allow you to merge photos into a single image.
When the combined images settings appear, select Grid so that your photos are arranged in an organized way in a collage.
To further customize your collage, you can adjust the position of the photos, the size of the grid, or even add margins between the images. After making any adjustments you see fit, add the action Save image so that your collage is saved in your photo gallery.
If you want to better organize your collages, you can save them to a specific album within the Photos app. For example, create an album called Collages or Projects and save your combined images there for easy access in the future.
Customize the shortcut
Now that you've set up your collage shortcut, it's time to name it and customize it. You can rename it as Create Collage or any name that helps you easily identify it. Once named, select the Add to Home Screen option to have quick access to this feature.
With the shortcut set up and added to your home screen, creating collages becomes a one-click process. Just tap the shortcut, choose the photos you want to include in your collage, and press Add. In a few seconds, your collage will be ready and saved to your gallery.
