How to use Dropbox to share files

Dropbox

Dropbox is one of the most widely used cloud storage services in the world, along with similar services like Google Drive and OneDrive, among others. It's one of the most comprehensive and feature-rich options available.

This service offers up to 2 GB of free cloud storage. It also has 2 TB and 3 TB plans, priced at approximately €9,99 and €16,58 per month, respectively. With either plan, you can upload and share files, and we'll explain how to do that here.

You can easily share files with Dropbox in two ways. This way, you can avoid sharing them individually via email or other methods, such as social media apps, instant messaging, or even older methods like physical documents or faxes.

With Dropbox's file sharing feature, you can upload documents online so anyone you've granted access to can view them. In some cases, depending on your preference, they won't be able to edit them, while in others they will. Regardless, you can edit them whenever you want, and the changes will be updated in real time. This is how you can collaborate with your colleagues, share your favorite vacation or family photos, and much more.

Share read-only files

As we mentioned, Dropbox, like other cloud storage services, offers the option to share read-only files. This means that you will be the only one who can modify the file; others who access it will not be able to edit it, but they will be able to view it.
