Except for a last-minute surprise, everything indicates that next September we will attend the iPhone 16 launch. The design work is said to have already been completed and the project is now entering production. Everyone is wondering what this new generation of Apple's smartphone will be like. At Movilforum we already anticipated that there will be some big surprises.
Obviously, it is still early to offer a definitive list of specifications for the model and each of its variants. However, the data that is already known (many of it has been leaked by Apple) suggests that we are going to see many new things.
How many iPhone 16 models will there be?
Continuing with the line drawn in recent years, it is expected that four models or variants of the iPhone 16 will come to light. It is quite unlikely that Apple will surprise us with an Ultra model, although obviously that is something that cannot yet be completely ruled out. The list of iPhone 16 models would then be as follows:
- 16 iPhone.
- iPhone 16 Plus.
- iPhone 16 Pro.
- iPhone 16 Pro Max
The first two variants correspond to the standard model, surely with slight differences that will affect the size of the screen and the battery capacity. On the other hand, the iPhone Pro and Pro Max will be included in a higher category. It is in them where we will be able to see the main improvements in terms of design and technology.

Designer
If we pay attention to the leaks that Apple has been providing over the last few weeks, the general aesthetics of this new model will be continuous. That is, it will have a design quite similar to that of the iPhone 15. Perhaps blunter edges and a titanium structure for greater lightness and ergonomics.
The new range will also recover haptic buttons (which had disappeared in the iPhone 15) and possibly added a new "lock" button on the side where the lock button is and which we will talk to you about later.
Display and battery
Much has been said about the bigger screens of the next iPhone 16. Especially those of the two Pro models (6,3 and 6,9 inches respectively). As a result of this, it is expected that these phones will also have the higher capacity batteries, to live up to the demands. Probably above 4.500 mAh.
Processor
Apple's plans include installing a A18 Pro processor manufactured using a three nanometer process. This feature is what, in theory, should significantly reduce the power consumption of the device. To this we must add the use of graphene to avoid overheating. In principle, this chipset will be in all four models of the series.
Cameras
Although it does not seem that there are going to be major technological improvements in photographic equipment, there is something worth highlighting. And it won't go unnoticed by anyone. We refer to the new position of the cameras, with vertical orientation instead of diagonal.
The final design remains to be seen, although things seem to be between the configuration of the iPhone 12 and that of the iPhone X. Or perhaps a hybrid between both ideas. Something similar to what we show in the image above.
IPhone 16 release date
We refer to what we have already indicated at the beginning of this article. With complete certainty, the presentation of the new iPhone 16 will take place this fall, surely in the month of September 2024. There is still no date set on the calendar (at least, it has not been officially communicated), but if we look at Apple's way of proceeding in recent years, it is possible to predict a little how it will be.
We are used to each new iPhone being presented to society in a given week. Thus, the following Friday after the first The deadline for making the first reservations and orders is known. Finally, the following week (that is, about 10 days after the presentation), the device reaches the market through the usual sales channels.
Venturing a little, we can bet on these dates: Orders could begin to be accepted on September 13 so that the mobile phone goes on sale on the 20th of the same month. This summer we will know the final dates.
And the price?
It's the million dollar question. In this particular, Apple has not revealed anything yet, so all we can do is just speculate. The only valid reference is that of the prices of the previous generation, that of the iPhone 15. Many times, especially when the new iPhone does not come with great new features, the new model has been presented without a price increase. If this were so, these would be the prices:
