You're far from a WiFi network, but you still want to take a look at your Instagram account and see what's new. That's a bad idea if you don't have enough mobile data. As you know, Instagram is one of the apps that consumes the most data. So it is better to enter the app when we have a good internet connection. But, with this we do not want to tell you that all is lost. Rather, there is a trick to use Instagram and save your data.
This is how you can save data on Instagram
What you have to do is go to the Instagram application and once you are there go to the profile. Inside your profile, look for the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner of the app. By clicking on these three lines it will be displayed a great menu with many options in it.
Go to the bottom of the menu and locate among all the options “Data usage and media quality”. By clicking on this option you will be able to view two options with a sliding button next to each of them. One of these options is “Data saving” and the other “Upload with the highest quality”, the latter refers to the quality of multimedia content that we upload to the app. If you want to upload higher quality photos and videos, enable this option.
The first option is the one that really interests us: “Data savings”. By enabling this the app will use less data, so the videos will not load beforehand. Photos and videos will be of lower quality and will take longer to load, it's true, but this way you will save a lot of data. You will be sure that the performance of your app will have improved. You will be able to continue browsing Instagram and enjoying your favorite accounts without spending an excessive amount of data.
